Windy Halliday summons Hopalong Cassidy and Lucky Jenkins to join forces and battle the notorious Stiff-Hat Bailey gang, which has been terrorizing the countryside. As Cassidy becomes entangled in the conflict, he finds himself drawn to Mary Joyce, whose ranch is the primary target of the outlaws. Complicating matters is the fact that Mary's husband, Rusty Joslin, is secretly working with the gang, and an escaped convict is also involved.
