Digimon: The Movie

Three Japanese short films are combined into a single film, with a continuing character, Kari, providing narration. The story follows the adventures of a group of kids who raise a digimon from an egg and encounter various other digimon, including a parrot-like one. They must also stop an infected digimon that's destroying computer information and data, and preventing it from launching nukes. Years later, Kari and a friend follow a child and his digimon to New York, where they discover the child is the creator of the virus and must defeat an infected digimon to stop the virus from spreading.
