His directorial debut as a writer/director occurred in 2015 with the film "When the Starlight Ends", featuring a talented cast including Sam Heughan, David Arquette, and Sean Patrick Flannery. Building upon this success, he went on to helm "Sargasso" (later renamed Stakeout),a semi-factual account of his real-life experiences as a private investigator in Los Angeles. Stakeout boasts an impressive cast, including Tom Berenger and Jeremy Sumpter.
In 2021, Adam wrote and directed "Chariot", starring the esteemed John Malkovich, alongside Rosa Salazar and Thomas Mann. The following year, he penned and directed "Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose", featuring an all-star cast including Simon Pegg, Minnie Driver, Christopher Lloyd, and Neil Gaiman. Most recently, in 2023, he wrote and directed "The Tower", starring Bella Thorne, Jack Kilmer, and Cam Gigandet.
