riano Giannini, the son of renowned actor Giancarlo Giannini and director Livia Giampalmo, embarked on his career in the film industry in 1989 as a camera assistant, working on prominent Italian and American productions until 1998.
He made his cinematic debut in 2000 as the lead actor in "Alla rivoluzione sulla due cavalli," a film directed by Maurizio Sciarra, which received the Pardo d'Oro award at the Locarno Festival in 2001. This role earned Adriano the "Biraghi" award for best actor and the "revelation of the year" award at the Taormina Film Festival in 2002.
The same year, Adriano starred alongside Giovanna Mezzogiorno in "State zitti per favore," a film directed by Livia Giampalmo. In 2001, he worked alongside Madonna in the English film "Swept Away," directed by Guy Ritchie.
Since then, Adriano's career has alternated between film and television projects in Italy and abroad.
In addition to his acting work, Adriano is also a talented dubbing artist, having dubbed the voices of actors such as Heath Ledger, Joaquin Phoenix, Jude Law, Christian Bale, Brad Pitt, and Matthew McConaughey, earning him two Nastri d'Argento awards.
Adriano made his directing debut with the short film "Il Gioco," which he also produced and adapted from a short story by Andrea Camilleri. The film was screened at the Venice Film Festival alongside other notable films.
In 2021, Adriano starred in "Tre Piani," a film directed by Nanni Moretti, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as in the Amazon TV series "Bang Bang Baby," directed by Michele Alhaique.
