Alexander Vlahos was born on July 30th, 1988, in Swansea, South Wales, and Welsh is his first language. He pursued his passion for acting at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff, graduating in 2009.
Vlahos is widely recognized for his captivating portrayal of Mordred in the BBC fantasy series "Merlin," earning rave reviews for his performance as the young Druid destined to kill King Arthur.
After leaving drama school, his first job was in the BBC Wales/Red Planet Pictures production "Crash," where he played the semi-regular role of Dylan.
He then appeared in the BBC medical drama "Doctors" in a week-long storyline, "Master Of The Universe," where he took on the lead role of Lewis Cutler. The episodes were nominated for "Best Single Episode" and "Spectacular Scene of the Year" at the ITV British Soap Awards in 2010.
Following this, Vlahos appeared alongside Sanjeev Bhaskar, Ayesha Dharker, and Mark Williams in the multi-award-winning BBC drama series "The Indian Doctor."
In January 2013, Vlahos landed his breakthrough lead role as Private Keenan in the BBC drama "Privates," which focused on one of the last groups of conscripts to enter National Service before it ended in 1960.
Alexander Vlahos returned to the stage, playing Malcolm opposite Kenneth Branagh in the critically acclaimed "Macbeth," which premiered at the Manchester International Festival in 2013 and later on Broadway in 2014.
