Annapurna Sriram, a multifaceted creative force, hails from Nashville and has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry as an accomplished actor, writer, and director.
Her academic journey began at Rutgers' Mason Gross School of the Arts, where she spent a year honing her craft in London at the renowned Shakespeare's Globe Theater. Annapurna was fortunate enough to be selected to perform as part of the prestigious Sam Wanamaker Festival.
On stage, Annapurna has made a lasting impression with her roles in notable productions. She originated the character of "Reshma" in Jesse Eisenberg's "The Spoils," which was expertly directed by Scott Elliot for The New Group. Her performance was later reprised on the West End in London at Trafalgar Studios, and she also appeared alongside Matthew Broderick in Wallace Shawn's United States premiere of "Evening at the Talkhouse."
Annapurna's breakthrough in film came with her lead role in the 2019 feature film "Feral," which premiered at the Sarasota Film Festival. The film has since been showcased at the Sidewalk Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, Bushwick Festival (where she won the Outstanding Performance Award),and The Montreal Festival du Nouveau Cinema World Film Festival.
In addition to her feature film work, Annapurna has also made a name for herself in the world of short films. Her short film "Dom" won the "Best Narrative Short" award at the Sidewalk Film Festival and has been programmed at various festivals, including the Brooklyn Film Festival, LES Film Festival, Indie Memphis, New Fest, and the Cucalorus Film Festival.
