Assen Blatechky is a multifaceted Bulgarian artist, born on March 22, 1971, in Sofia, Bulgaria. This talented individual's passion for the arts, sports, and entertainment has led to a rich and varied career.
As a young man, Assen was an avid athlete, practicing swimming, soccer, rowing, and handball, and even went on to become the champion of Bulgaria in the Federation of Traditional Karate for four consecutive years, from 1989 to 1992.
However, Assen's true calling was the world of theater and film. In 1992, he applied to and was accepted at the National Theatre Academy, where he studied acting under the guidance of the renowned Prof. Stefan Danailov. He graduated in 1996, but even as a student, he had already begun to make a name for himself on stage, taking on roles in productions such as Measure for Measure, crazy love, Lazaritza, and intruders.
After completing his studies, Assen continued to work in the film industry, appearing in a range of Bulgarian and foreign productions. He has become a familiar face to Bulgarian audiences, thanks to his memorable roles in movies like Profits After the End of the World, Mila from Mars, Monkeys in Winter, and the popular TV series Sea Salt and Glass Home.
