Bahia Watson, a multifaceted artist, was born in Carman, Manitoba, Canada, and grew up in Winnipeg, where her creative journey began. When not gracing the stages or screens, Bahia indulges in her passion for writing and imagination.
Her impressive stage credits include portraying the young Princess Elizabeth in "The Virgin Trial" and Bess in "The Last Wife" at Stratford and Soulpepper. Additionally, she has been part of the casts of "The Seagull" and "Someone Else" at Crow's Theatre/Company Theatre, "The Penelopiad" at Nightwood Theatre, DISS at Mixed Company, and "A Raisin in the Sun" at Soulpepper.
Bahia's screen credits are equally impressive, featuring roles in films such as "The Handmaid's Tale" (MGM),"Saving Hope" (CTV),"Flush", "Remedy" (Global),and "Star Trek: Discovery" (CBS). Her notable television appearances include playing Brianna in eleven episodes of "The Handmaid's Tale" and May in the ongoing series "Star Trek: Discovery", which is filmed in Toronto.
Bahia's accolades include a Dora Award for Outstanding Performance Ensemble for her work in "The Penelopiad" and the RBC Footprint Award, presented by Obsidian Theatre. Furthermore, she has also ventured into playwriting, having penned "The Numbers Game" for the Storefront Theatre/Pulp Collective and "pomme" for Paul Watson Productions, where "pomme" is French for apple.
