Ben Chase, a talented individual, was born in Manhattan, New York City, New York. His family's migratory path took them to various states, including Illinois, Connecticut, Georgia, and Florida, before finally settling down.
Ben's academic pursuits led him to Tufts University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the prestigious Brown University/Trinity Rep Program.
Ben's extensive filmography includes notable roles opposite renowned actors such as Ben Affleck, Anne Hathaway, and Willem Defoe in Dee Rees' THE LAST THING HE WANTED. He recently starred in THE THING ABOUT PAM, playing real-life lawyer Nate Swanson opposite Renee Zellweger and Josh Duhamel. His television credits include season one of LAW AND ORDER: Organized Crime and appearances in AUDREY'S CHILDREN, LIBERTE: A CALL TO SPY, JIM: THE JAMES FOLEY STORY, and MIKE, MIKE TAN.
Ben's television appearances are equally impressive, with roles in MONSTERLAND, TRANSPARENT, DIFFICULT PEOPLE, THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA, UNDOCUMENTED, and a series of popular Adobe commercials opposite Hasan Minhaj.
On the stage, Ben has made a significant impact, starring in the 2023 Pulitzer Prize Finalist play THE FAR COUNTRY at Atlantic Theater Company. His other notable stage credits include the New York premiere revival of FUENTE OVEJUNA at Theater for a New Audience, a starring role in a revival of ANNA CHRISTIE off-Broadway, and acting opposite 2017 Tony nominee John Douglas Thompson in the first American cast of RED VELVET at Shakespeare and Company in Massachusetts.
Ben has worked frequently at the Old Globe, playing Mercutio in ROMEO AND JULIET in 2019 and appearing in Chad Beckim's NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY in 2020. He has also developed and performed new work at various esteemed institutions, including Atlantic Theater, Playwrights Horizons, Nat'l Black Theatre, the Drama League, Rattlestick Playwrights, and New Dramatists.
