Bianca Amato was born in South Africa, where she graduated with Distinction from the University of Cape Town's Drama Department. She worked extensively in theatre and television in South Africa, most notably as the lead in Isidingo: The Need (2005),South Africa's premiere television series.
Her portrayal of Phillipa DeVilliers, a feisty young Englishwoman romantically involved with a black mine manager, made her a household name in South Africa. This groundbreaking interracial storyline was a significant milestone for post-Apartheid South African television.
Bianca moved to the United States in 2001 and is currently based in New York City. She is a multi-award-winning Audiobook Narrator, with a diverse range of credits to her name.
