At the tender age of 8, in the year 2007, Perry embarked on his professional acting journey, initially taking on small roles in the films "Choose Connor" and "Magnificent Max". The following year, he made his television debut, gracing the CBS crime-drama "Without a Trace" with a memorable guest-starring appearance.
Over the next 12 months, Perry continued to hone his craft, appearing in various comedic roles in films such as "The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard", "Opposite Day", and "Old Dogs". In 2010, his career took a significant leap forward when he landed a starring role on the Disney Channel family sitcom "Good Luck Charlie".
As part of the Duncan family, Perry brought to life the character of Gabe Duncan, a clever and cunning individual, who, alongside fellow Disney veterans Jason Dolley and Bridgit Mendler, formed a part of the show's cast. In the same year, Perry also appeared in the Disney Channel original movie "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure", sharing the screen with Ashley Tisdale.
In the film, Perry played the role of Roger Elliston III, a precocious young dog owner, who, alongside Sharpay, competed to secure a starring role on Broadway for his canine companion.
