Brett Heard is a renowned writer, director, and producer with a twenty-five-year career spanning both in front of and behind the camera in the film and television industry. In 2013, Brett wrote and directed his first feature, STAG, which garnered numerous festival awards across Canada, the USA, and Europe, including nine nominations from the LA Comedy Festival, and took home the Award of Excellence. The film was sold to E One and distributed internationally, featuring HBO, Netflix, TMN, and Amazon Prime.

In 2018, Brett wrote the Gordon Pinsent-inspired series Crime On His Hands, which was picked up for development by the CBC.
