Biography of Bryan Fuller:
Bryan Fuller, a self-proclaimed Star Trek geek, was inspired by the series "Deep Space Nine" and pursued a career as a writer. He took advantage of the show's open script submission policy and submitted a spec script, which led to a pitching opportunity. After selling a couple of stories to "Deep Space Nine", Fuller was hired as a full-time staff writer for the sister series "Voyager" in its fourth season. He worked on "Voyager" for the remainder of its seven-year run, rising to the position of co-producer.
During the final year of "Voyager", Fuller wrote the pilot script for "Dead Like Me", which was promptly sold by his agent. Although "Dead Like Me" was cancelled after two seasons, Fuller's reputation as a talented writer had been solidified. He went on to create the critically acclaimed but short-lived series "Wonderfalls".
Fuller has had a remarkable career in television, working non-stop since his initial pitch to "Deep Space Nine" in 1993. He co-created and produced an animated film with Mike Mignola, titled "The Amazing Screw-On Head". He then co-executive produced and wrote for the hit series "Heroes", before leaving the show to create his critically acclaimed new series "Pushing Daisies".
