From 1961 to 1972, his partnership with Hal David yielded a plethora of hits, with the majority of these being written specifically for and performed by the incomparable Dionne Warwick. However, earlier associations with Marty Robbins, Perry Como, Gene McDaniels, and Jerry Butler showcased the duo's versatility and ability to craft memorable songs for a wide range of artists.
