Casey's remarkable journey in wildlife filmmaking spans over two decades, beginning in 1995. Born and raised in Montana, he was surrounded by the great outdoors, fostering a passion for nature and wildlife from a tender age. As a child, he spent most of his days exploring the mountains, capturing his adventures through photography to prove the authenticity of his wild tales to his classmates.
At 18, Casey began guiding wildlife filmmakers into Montana's backcountry, searching for and filming elusive wild animals. Concurrently, he worked at a captive wildlife park, gaining insight into the behaviors of these animals. At 26, he adopted a baby grizzly bear from an overpopulated wildlife park where he was the head curator, and co-founded Montana Grizzly Encounter, a sanctuary dedicated to saving grizzly bears from inhumane situations.
As a television personality, tracker, and outdoors enthusiast, Casey has made it his mission to bring the wild to the hearts of every generation, inspiring a drive to conserve untamed and untouched wild places worldwide. His natural history filmmaking endeavors have earned him numerous awards, including the 2010 Panda Award for "Best Presenter" and the 2013 and 2014 "Parents Choice Award" from ABC.
Casey is the founder and executive producer of VisionHawk, a wildlife film production company. He has also appeared on various television talk shows, including Oprah Winfrey, Conan O'Brien, and Good Morning America. As an international inspirational speaker, Casey shares his vision of connecting humans to nature on a deeper level, drawing parallels between the soul of a grizzly bear and the human experience.
Casey currently resides in Paradise Valley, Montana, where he shares his backyard with a variety of wildlife, including mountain lions, rattlesnakes, and great horned owls.
