Catia Ojeda was born Catherine Anne Ojeda in College Station, Texas to a Mexican father and an American mother, both graduate students at Texas A&M University. Her family's initial residence in Texas was short-lived, as they soon relocated to Mexico, where her two younger brothers were born. At the tender age of four, her family made the move back to Texas, marking the beginning of her life in the United States.
As she grew older, Ojeda discovered her passion for acting in high school, a passion that would only continue to grow as she pursued higher education. She spent two years studying theater at the University of North Texas before transferring to Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting. During her time at Marymount, Ojeda also had the opportunity to spend a semester in London, where she trained at The British American Dramatic Academy.
Upon graduating, Ojeda began her professional acting career in New York, where she landed roles in numerous commercials, television shows, and stage productions. Her impressive résumé includes appearances on hit TV series such as Law and Order, 30 Rock, Fringe, and Damages, as well as performances in off-Broadway and regional theater productions. Ojeda's Broadway credits include starring in the national tour of The 101 Dalmatians Musical, directed by the esteemed Jerry Zaks, a multiple Tony Award winner.
After making the move to Los Angeles, Ojeda continued to work in television, theater, and film, appearing in a variety of projects, including episodic television, commercials, and independent films. In 2013, she was recognized with an Ovation Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a play for her performance in Theatre Banshee's production of "Brendan."
In 2015, Ojeda landed the role of a series regular on Amazon Studios' "Just Add Magic," playing the character of Terri Quinn.
