Chad Joseph Doreck is a renowned actor, singer, songwriter, and dancer, hailing from Southern California. Born and raised in Long Beach, CA, he is the son of Stephen Doreck, a contractor from Kentucky, and Catherine Doreck, a homemaker from Chicago. He has one sister and one brother.
From a young age, Chad began receiving comprehensive acting and performing arts training, and joined the Screen Actors Guild at the tender age of 8. He attended St. Maria Goretti Catholic grade school before being accepted into the highly competitive theatre program at the Orange County School of the Arts, where he studied alongside future Tony, Emmy, and Oscar winners.
Chad's early education was brief, as he dropped out of the University of Southern California's film program to pursue his acting career. He has since appeared in hundreds of commercials, voice overs, cartoons, television shows, movies, and stage plays, showcasing his versatility and ability to work across disciplines and genres.
Chad's professional debut was in the music video for the title track of the movie Weird Science, where he worked alongside Kelly LeBrock, Danny Elfman, and director Howie Deutsch. In 2006, he was scouted by Broadway casting directors and participated in the reality competition Grease: You're the One That I Want, finishing in the top 4. He was subsequently cast in the Off-Broadway hit musical comedy Altar Boyz.
Chad credits his mentor, actress Gloria Gifford, for shifting his career trajectory. He starred in the Los Angeles production of Sam Shepard's Fool for Love, which earned him several awards and accolades. Beside his acting work, Chad is also an accomplished singer, songwriter, and dancer. He received the Mercury records song writing scholarship at UCLA and has danced for legendary choreographers like Debbie Allen and Wade Robson.
In his free time, Chad enjoys studying Spanish, Krav Maga, and fencing. He is an avid gardener and classic movie enthusiast, with Cary Grant being his idol. Chad is also involved in various charitable activities, including volunteering at horse rescue Hoofprints to Freedom and producing concerts through his charity, Heart of Rock and Roll, which donates proceeds to music programs in local schools.
