Christopher Damm is a multifaceted individual, exceling in various creative and professional pursuits. Born in Encino, California, he is the son of a ceramicist mother and a real estate appraiser father. His early life was marked by international exposure, as he studied abroad at Kawerau College in New Zealand during his high school years.
Damm's academic journey continued at The University of California Santa Barbara, where he pursued degrees in International Relations and Mandarin. His interest in acting was sparked during his Chinese class, where he would often perform skits, bringing laughter to his classmates. He further honed his language skills by studying abroad at Qinghua University in Beijing and National Taiwan University in Taipei.
After completing his education, Damm joined the Foreign Commercial Service as an International Trade Specialist and filmmaker. He worked on temporary duty assignments at U.S. Embassies and Consulates in China, South Africa, and Malaysia, and completed Foreign Service film assignments in Bulgaria and Spain. As a government filmmaker, he has created over 100 corporate and industrial videos, many of which feature women and Native American-owned businesses.
Damm is a polyglot, fluent in Mandarin and having performed the Heart Sutra on three occasions in China, with an audience reach exceeding 20 million. His performances were frequently featured by major Chinese media organizations and rebroadcast to hundreds of millions of Chinese viewers.
As a performer, Damm has gained a significant following in China, a rare phenomenon for an American actor. He has worked and acted in both Mandarin and English-speaking countries, leveraging his language skills to navigate both markets.
Damm began his filmmaking career as a cinematographer for the renowned American filmmaker Rob Nilsson, who won the Camera d'Or at Cannes and the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. He has worked on several Nilsson feature films, including Permission to Touch and Bridge to a Border, both of which premiered at the Mill Valley Film Festival.
Damm has also appeared on several Discovery Channel and Reelz Network television shows and frequently acts in Nilsson's feature films. One of his notable roles was as Bruiser in "The Mission", a WWII-based virtual reality short that showcased at the 2015 Sundance Festival and the South by Southwest and New York Film Festivals.

The pilot, tentatively titled Eastern Front - The Series, is a World War II series that focuses on a female T-34-85 Soviet Tank Commander who fights her way into Germany during World War II.
