Born in Taegu, South Korea, where the cultural landscape and vibrant energy of the city shaped his early years. Later, he was adopted by loving parents of Irish and French-Canadian descent, who provided him with a unique blend of cultural influences that would later contribute to his artistic identity.
Raised in the charming town of Hebron, Connecticut, where the rolling hills and picturesque landscapes of the countryside served as a serene backdrop for his formative years.
In 2001, a serendipitous encounter with director Martha Coolidge led to his discovery and subsequent casting in the lead role of the young son in Hallmark Entertainment's "The Flamingo Rising". This marked the beginning of his professional journey, which would take him down a path of artistic exploration and growth.
As he honed his craft, Larkin trained at the prestigious Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, where he refined his skills and developed a strong foundation in the performing arts. He then went on to pursue his passion for theatre at Fordham College at Lincoln Center, where he majored in theatre and immersed himself in the world of live performance.
Midway through his sophomore year, Larkin made his professional theatre debut in the off-Broadway production of "Back from the Front", a testament to his early talent and dedication to his craft. Prior to graduating from college, he took a semester off to pursue a new opportunity, playing the titular character in "Kafka on the Shore" at the renowned Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago.
He graduated from Fordham College at Lincoln Center in 2009, marking the culmination of his academic journey and the beginning of a lifelong commitment to the performing arts.
