Cindy Cheung is a renowned actor who has captivated audiences across multiple mediums, including stage, screen, and television. She delivered standout performances as one of the formidable matriarchs in the final season of "The Sinner," and as one of the most memorable mothers in "Thirteen Reasons Why."
Cheung took center stage in two of the most notable Asian American plays of New York City's 2022 theatrical season. She starred in Manhattan Theater Club's "Golden Shield" by Anchuli Felicia King, directed by May Adrales, and Playwrights Horizons' "Catch as Catch Can" by Mia Chung, directed by Daniel Aukin.
Her impressive film credits include Mistress America, Obvious Child, and Lady in the Water, as well as prominent roles in television series such as "The Flight Attendant," "Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens," "New Amsterdam," "High Maintenance," "Bull," "FBI," "Blue Bloods," "House of Cards," "Homeland," and all three iterations of "Law & Order."

Cheung holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. Born in La Palma, California, she is a proud applied mathematics major from UCLA. After moving to New York City 25 years ago, she has made Brooklyn her home with her husband, novelist Ed Lin, and their son.
