Dani Alkalai was born in the vibrant city of Beirut, Lebanon, and at the tender age of 12, he embarked on a new journey, relocating to Sweden. It was in this new environment that he discovered his passion for dance and began training at the prestigious Ballet Academy of Stockholm.
As he continued to hone his craft, Dani's career took him across Europe, where he performed in various productions, including Saturday Night Fever, Miami Nights, and Fame: the Musical. His love for the stage was matched by his enthusiasm for the screen, and he soon found himself working as an actor, dancer, and model in numerous film and television shows, as well as commercials.
Dani's versatility as a performer has led him to take on a wide range of roles, from vampire to monster, and he has appeared in notable productions such as Designated Survivor, American Gods, Nikita, The Boys, The Strain, Traitor, and Once Upon a Mattress. He has also become a familiar face on Canadian billboards and newspapers as the Koodo guy, sporting an iconic 80's mustache.
Despite his success on screen, Dani's heart remains with the theater, where he has had the opportunity to play iconic roles such as Bernardo in West Side Story, Monsoon Wedding, Bend it Like Beckham the Musical, and several productions for Drayton Entertainment. He has also had the privilege of working with the Ross Petty Panto, Legally Blonde, Cabaret, and Un Ballo in Maschera with the Canadian Opera.
As a choreographer, Dani has had the opportunity to showcase his skills in the movie The Art of Falling in Love on the Super Channel. He has also had the pleasure of working as a performer and choreographer with his wife Christina in corporate events and functions, offering a range of dance styles to audiences across Toronto.
Throughout his career, Dani has been blessed to have worked with numerous talented choreographers, dancers, and performers, and has had the opportunity to perform in a wide range of genres. He believes that success in the arts requires dedication and hard work, and that there are no shortcuts to achieving one's goals.
