Daniel Frederick Hart is a renowned American musician, composer, and classically trained violinist whose remarkable career has been marked by a plethora of diverse musical pursuits. As a solo artist, he has released a plethora of music, while also performing and recording with his bands The Physics of Meaning and Dark Rooms. His extensive touring and recording credits are a testament to his versatility and range, as he has collaborated with a diverse array of bands, including the critically acclaimed St. Vincent, the indie rock outfit Other Lives, the singer-songwriter John Vanderslice, the avant-garde post-punk band Swans, the indie pop duo The Rosebuds, the indie rock quintet Annuals, the electronic music project Glasser, the Canadian indie rock collective Broken Social Scene, the Philadelphia-based indie rock duo Pattern Is Movement, the North Carolina-based indie folk trio Mount Moriah, the eclectic pop collective The Polyphonic Spree, and the Texas-based singer-songwriter Sarah Jaffe.

David Lowery's critically acclaimed film Ain't Them Bodies Saints premiered at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in 2013, marking a significant milestone in the career of musician and film composer, James Hart.
