Darragh Mortell is a rapidly ascending Writer/Director with a deep connection to the acting world. His impressive career began with a lead role in the popular CBBC series The Story of Tracy Beaker, followed by notable appearances in various productions such as Dani's House, the BAFTA-winning Diddy Movies, and the MTV cult hit Dubplate Drama. Furthermore, he had the distinction of playing the final villain in the UK's longest-running police drama, The Bill, in 2010.
As a filmmaker, Darragh has made significant contributions by writing and directing web episodes for the Dani's House spin-off, Dani's Castle, as well as the hit show Millie Inbetween, and the upcoming Sky teen drama, The Athena. Notably, his debut film won the prestigious Best Experimental Film award at the London Independent Film Festival in 2015. Building on this success, he went on to create the widely acclaimed film, Beauty in the Street, featuring Asim Chaudhry and set in London.
With a multitude of TV credits in 2018 and numerous projects currently in development, Darragh has expressed his ambition to explore as many creative outlets as possible.
