As he navigated his formative years on the West Side of St. Paul, Minnesota, Dave's passion for sports began to flourish, ultimately becoming an integral aspect of his identity. With his multifaceted athletic prowess, Dave excelled in three distinct sports - football, baseball, and hockey - at Humboldt High School, his impressive skills earning him a distinguished recognition among the St. Paul High School Athletic Conference's all-time best 100 athletes.
As the culmination of his high school education, Dave's hockey career embarked on a trajectory of significant growth and development. He proceeded to play junior A hockey for the St. Paul Vulcans, a notable team in the hockey world. Additionally, Dave had the opportunity to hone his skills at the University of Minnesota, where he had the privilege of training under the expert guidance of the illustrious coach Herb Brooks, a renowned figure in the world of hockey who had the distinction of leading the 1980 Olympic Gold Medal-winning USA Hockey team to victory.
Dave's illustrious hockey career spanned an impressive decade, during which he proudly wore the uniforms of multiple teams, boasting an impressive résumé that included stints with the Detroit Red Wings and Minnesota North Stars of the National Hockey League, as well as the New England Whalers, Minnesota Fighting Saints, and Birmingham Bulls of the World Hockey Association.
Dave, a prominent figure in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania community, is currently residing in the city, where he is deeply immersed in the world of sports. As the manager of the Island Sports Center, he is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. In addition to his managerial duties, Dave also coaches AAA travel hockey teams for the esteemed Pittsburgh Hornets, a testament to his passion and expertise in the sport.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Dave has also explored the world of acting, a venture that has allowed him to showcase his versatility and range as a performer. Notably, he landed the role of Jack Hanson in a film that co-starred his real-life brothers, Steve and Jeff, marking a significant milestone in his career.
