David Hirsh, a renowned Canadian Screen Award-winning and nominated actor, has recently made a mark on the screen by starring as the superhero Blue Bolt/Richard Conrad in Netflix's Jupiter's Legacy.
Born and raised in the vibrant city of Montreal, Hirsh's educational background is equally impressive, having studied Law at McGill University and Criminology at The University of Toronto. However, he left school just one credit shy of his degree to pursue his passion for acting at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Institute in New York.
Throughout his career, Hirsh has showcased his versatility by performing both on and off Broadway. One of his notable roles includes starring as the hero Jake Hersh in the film adaptation of the iconic Canadian novel St. Urbain's Horseman (2007) by Mordecai Richler for CBC/BBC.
In addition to his acting credits, Hirsh has also made a name for himself as a producer. He won a Canadian Gemini Award for producing the critically acclaimed film Camp Hollywood (2004),which tells the story of the residents of a dilapidated hotel in Hollywood.
Hirsh has received numerous nominations for his outstanding performances, including a nomination for Best Actor at the Canadian Screen Awards for his role in Twist of Faith opposite Toni Braxton.
In addition to his numerous film and television credits, Hirsh has also made guest appearances on popular shows such as Taken, House of Lies, CSI, Rosewood, and Grimm, among many others.
Today, Hirsh splits his time between Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and Canada, where he continues to pursue his passion for acting and production.
