David Valcin is a talented actor, best known for his recurring roles as Scarface on the CBS action drama Person of Interest (2011) and Eddie Fairbanks on the television comedy Two of a Kind (1998),starring Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen.
He has also appeared in a variety of other television shows, including Just Shoot Me! (1997),The Practice (1997),The Guardian (2006),Law & Order (1990),Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001),Rescue Me (2004),Third Watch (1999),and Monk (2002).
In addition to his television work, Valcin has appeared in several films, including New Year's Eve (2011),Crocodile 2: Death Swamp (2002),and The Accountant (2000).
Born on Staten Island, New York, Valcin grew up in Manhattan and Brooklyn, as well as Quebec, Canada. He began acting while attending Brooklyn Technical High School, where he was a member of the community theater group The Jubilee Players.
After studying at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, Valcin went on to study acting at The Atlantic Theater Company in New York and Vermont, where he was taught by renowned actors and directors such as William H. Macy, Felicity Huffman, and David Mamet.
Valcin has also had a successful career on stage, performing in various Off-Broadway and regional productions, including The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Distant Fires. He has also appeared in numerous commercials, including a national campaign for The Olive Garden Restaurants.
In his personal life, Valcin is married to Diane Murphy and is the proud father of three young men.
