Person biography:
Drummond Stairs Macdougall is a 7th generation Maritime Canadian, born to a Cape Breton father, Graham 'Bud' Macdougall, and a Halifax, Nova Scotia mother, Phyllis Stairs. He studied acting at Queen's University, receiving a Film Acting Minor and an Honours Business degree. After a successful career in Investment Banking, he reconnected with his passion for acting after surviving cancer in 2004. He has since studied with renowned coaches and mentors, including Tom Todoroff Studio, Larry Moss, and Ben Ratner. Drummond is married to an Animal Communication Specialist and has two sons with two new grand-baby girls.
He is a talented and professional actor who has built a broad base of acting experience, including 41 film and television productions and 34 commercial projects. Drummond's depth of life experience allows him to play a wide range of characters, from a loving father to a ruthless business tycoon. His sense of humor and ability to have a good laugh at himself and the world bring humanity to all his characters.
Drummond has been featured in 14 well-known TV series, including ARROW, ALCATRAZ, and PSYCH, and has acted alongside talented actors such as Kat McNamara, Mahershala Ali, and Corbin Bernsen. He has also been a part of many award-winning teams entering film festivals, including TIFF, VIFF, WIFF, and VAFF.
In addition to his film and television work, Drummond has honed his skills playing a variety of fun lead roles in commercials, including CONNECT HEARING, COKE-Zero, Koehler-Walk-In-Baths, Bayer, Time Warner Cable, Samsung, and many more. He has also enjoyed performing in numerous Voice-Over and Motion Capture projects.
