Dylan McTee was born in the City of Angels, Los Angeles, California, to a loving family consisting of his mother, Cathleen Carriere, a native of the city, and his father, Gregory McTee, who hails from Ireland. His mother's ancestry is a rich tapestry of Indigenous Mexican and French heritage, while his father's roots run deep with Irish pride.
From a very young age, Dylan was utterly fascinated by the world of films and novels, devouring books and performances with an insatiable appetite. His parents, supportive of his passions, encouraged his love for reading, writing, and performance in local theater. As he grew older, Dylan's admiration for the craft only intensified, particularly in the wake of witnessing Daniel Day-Lewis's masterful performances on screen.
Despite his fervent desire to pursue a career in acting, Dylan's parents urged him to complete his education, insisting that a college degree would provide a solid foundation for his future endeavors. And so, he devoted himself to his studies, honing his craft and preparing himself for the challenges that lay ahead.
Upon graduating from the prestigious School of Dramatic Arts at the University of Southern California, Dylan leapt headfirst into the world of professional acting. His early auditions included a role in the controversial series Sweet/Vicious (2016),which tackled the sensitive topic of sexual assault on college campuses. Dylan's character, a charismatic and likable individual, was revealed to be a sociopathic rapist, a complex and nuanced portrayal that showcased his impressive range.
Dylan's subsequent projects included the independent film Midnighters (2017),directed by the Ramsay Brothers, and The Wind (2018),a western-horror film directed by Emma Tammi. In the latter, he played the role of Gideon Harper, a young settler in the late 1800s whose life begins to unravel after he moves west with his wife.
In recent years, Dylan has appeared in The CW's Roswell, New Mexico (2019) as Wyatt Long, a troubled and depraved rancher, and has also starred in the reboot of the iconic horror franchise Wrong Turn (2021).
Outside of his acting career, Dylan is an avid practitioner of martial arts, a passionate writer of poetry, and an outdoor enthusiast who loves to go camping with his rescue dog, Hal.
