Eliezer Ortiz is a renowned international award-winning actor, excelling in film, television, and theater. Born in Puerto Rico, he grew up in Humacao, the hometown of the legendary Rita Moreno. With a distinguished acting career, he has risen to the top of successful Afro-Latin actors, boasting an impressive resume of over 100 films.
Notable film credits include leading roles in Annie and The Gypsy alongside Cybill Shepherd, Starlet with Dree Hemingway, and Brando Unauthorized with Damian Chapa. His extensive filmography continues to grow, featuring leading roles in films such as Faze, Archives of Horror, Circumstances, The Last Transformation of Francisco, Debbie and Desdi, The Wizard of Ozcar, and more.

Eliezer has also directed The Raúl Juliá Training Unit of the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater in NY, under the Artistic Direction of respected actress Miriam Colón, and has taught at UCLA. He was also the assistant director of the Tony Award-winning actor and director Roger Robinson in Emigrants, a play that represented the USA in the IV International Festival of Theater in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Eliezer holds a BA in Theater from the University of Puerto Rico and a MFA in Acting from UCLA, where he trained with Sir Anthony Hopkins, Mel Shapiro, Gil Gates, Gordon Hunt, Ellen Geer, and others. He also trained with the Moscow Art Theater School (MXAT) at Harvard University and British American Drama Academy (BADA) at Oxford University, UK.
Eliezer has been honored with the Desert Theater League's Desert Star Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama for La Gringa, the Best Actor Award in the LA 48 Hours Film Project Festival for the film 2042, and the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts and the UCLA Jack Okie "It's All in Fun" Award for Excellence in Acting.
