The multifaceted Rosay, a woman of remarkable talent and perseverance, came into this world on April 19, 1891, in the City of Light, Paris, where her mother, the illustrious actress Marie-Thérèse Chauvin, also known as Sylviac, had left an indelible mark on the world of the performing arts.

Initially, Rosay's aspirations lay in the realm of opera, where she was determined to make a name for herself. And make a name for herself she did, for in 1917, she emerged victorious at the prestigious Paris Conservatoire, a feat that would pave the way for her professional debut at the iconic Palais Garnier.

In 1917, Rosay tied the knot with the renowned director Jacques Feyder, a union that would endure for the remainder of his life, until his passing in 1948. This marriage would also yield a trio of sons, further solidifying Rosay's role as a devoted wife and mother.
