Freya Tingley, a talented individual, was born on March 26, 1994, in Perth, Australia, often referred to as the most isolated city in the world. From a young age, Freya was drawn to the performing arts, exploring various avenues such as modeling, singing, and dancing. However, it wasn't until she enrolled in an acting school that she discovered her true passion.
The ability to embody different characters, detached from her own personality, provided Freya with a creative high unlike anything she had experienced. She found inspiration in the work of character actors like Meryl Streep and Dustin Hoffman, and decided to follow in their footsteps.
At the tender age of seventeen, Freya took the bold step of moving to Hollywood, with the support of her mother, who allowed her to "give it a shot for a year." Her plan B was to return to Perth and work at a bakery, where she had a part-time job. Although Freya is skilled in baking, particularly with raspberries and white chocolate, it is not her calling.
Undeterred, Freya attended hundreds of auditions and, on the day of her 18th birthday, she landed a role in Netflix's second original series, Hemlock Grove, directed by horror master Eli Roth.
Since then, Freya has played a wide range of characters in both television and film, including originating the character of Wendy Darling in the Peter Pan segment of Once Upon a Time for ABC. She also portrayed Franki Valli's troubled daughter in the film adaptation of the Broadway hit Jersey Boys, directed by Clint Eastwood, a personal hero of hers.
Freya has aspirations to transition from actor to actor/director in the near future, much like Clint Eastwood. She still enjoys baking muffins with raspberries and white chocolate, but is proud to call the film industry her profession and her true passion.
