Gregory Kean Williams, professionally known as Greg Kean, was born on September 27, 1962, in Oshawa, Canada. At the tender age of 15, he made the significant decision to relocate with his family to Detroit, Michigan, which would ultimately shape his future. After completing his high school education at Bloomfield Hills Andover High School in 1979, Kean went on to pursue his higher education at Michigan State University, enrolling in the fall of the same year. He graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre arts, having had the privilege of studying under the guidance of esteemed professionals Bernard White, Rose Abdoo, and David Magee.
The academic excellence and exceptional talent of Kean earned him a prestigious scholarship to pursue his Master of Fine Arts in acting at Cornell University's renowned program. During his time at Cornell, he had the opportunity to work alongside renowned professionals Jane Lynch and Bob Clendenon, further honing his craft. In 1985, Kean completed his MFA and began his professional journey.
Kean's professional career took off when he joined the company at Houston's Alley Theatre, where he spent three years honing his skills and gaining valuable experience. Eventually, he made the move to Los Angeles, marking the beginning of his television and film career. In 1996, Kean tied the knot with his loving wife, Kelly Williams, and the couple welcomed four beautiful children: Spencer, Lucien, Miles, and Boone.
Presently, Kean is actively involved in teaching and acting in Vancouver, British Columbia. Throughout his illustrious career, he has demonstrated his versatility, dedication, and passion for the performing arts, leaving a lasting impact on the industry.
