Ian Richard Hodgkinson, professionally known as Vampiro, is a Canadian semi-retired professional wrestler who has recently held the position of director of talent for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, a prominent Mexican wrestling promotion. In addition to his directorial role, Hodgkinson has also worked as a color commentator for Lucha Underground.
Beyond his wrestling endeavors, Hodgkinson is an active member of the citizen crime patrol organization Guardian Angels, serving as the head of the group's chapter in Mexico City. This demonstrates his commitment to community service and social responsibility.
As a professional wrestler, Hodgkinson has achieved significant success, holding the JCW Heavyweight Championship in his third reign. Throughout his career, he has competed for various wrestling promotions, including World Championship Wrestling, where he won the WCW World Tag Team Championship alongside The Great Muta.
However, Hodgkinson's greatest achievements were made in the Mexican promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre during the 1990s. As a five-time World Champion, he has won the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship once, the UWA World Heavyweight Championship once, and the JCW Heavyweight Championship three times.
