Janeshia Adams-Ginyard is an accomplished American actress, stunt woman, professional wrestler, sports radio personality, and motivational speaker who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. Born on February 14th in Los Angeles, California, to Sidney Ginyard, a pianist/organist, and Gwendolyn Adams-Williams, a senior accountant at Xerox, Janeshia is of Jamaican descent.
She attended Gahr High School in Cerritos, California, where she excelled academically, graduating with high honors, and was voted most athletic. Janeshia also holds the school record in the 300m hurdles. Her academic achievements continued at the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and a minor in African-American Studies with an emphasis on Caribbean Culture.
Janeshia's athletic pursuits led her to become a brakeman for the 2006-2007 US National Bobsled team and host of the popular radio show, "Lady J's Wild World of Sports." In 2012, she was cast by WOW Women of Wrestling co-owners David McLane and Jeanie Buss to play the character Frost the Olympian, based on her real-life experience as a bobsledder.
Janeshia is a skilled individual who is fluent in American Sign-Language and trained in Taekwondo. She is also the CEO/President of Hyphy 4 Christ, Inc, an entertainment company dedicated to inspiring, encouraging, and motivating through faith-based content.
Janeshia's impressive career has earned her recognition in the industry, including a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in the new category of Outstanding Stunt Performance for her work on the HBO series, Lovecraft Country, announced on July 13, 2021. Additionally, on November 10, 2021, she became a Member of the SAG-AFTRA National Stunt Committee, further solidifying her position as a respected figure in the entertainment industry.
