Biography

Jann Turner is a multifaceted film and television director based in the vibrant city of Los Angeles. With a vast array of credits to her name, Turner has made a significant impact in the industry by directing numerous episodes of various popular TV shows.

Some of her notable works include directing multiple episodes of Jack Ryan Seasons 3 and 4, S.W.A.T., Seal Team, 911-LA, The Resident, For Life, The Code, Filthy Rich, The Last Ship, Scandal, The Catch, Chicago Fire, Greys Anatomy, How To Get Away With Murder, Jane The Virgin, Grace and Frankie, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, Hard Copy, Isidingo, Zero Tolerance, Mzansi, Complications, The Fosters, Castle, Scorpion, Alpha House, Satisfaction, The Divide, Teen Wolf, The Neighbors, Save Me, The Big C, The Carrie Diaries, and Emily Owens MD.

In addition to her work in television, Turner has also directed the pilot episode of Netflix's Virgin River. Furthermore, she has held executive producer credits on three episodes of Jack Ryan Season 4 and was a co-executive producer and producing director on Season 7 of ABC's Scandal.

Turner's extensive experience in the film industry has also led her to work as an on-air producer for SABC TV's Truth Commission Special Report and to produce documentaries for Channel 4UK and eTV South Africa. She is also known for her work on the South African feature films White Wedding and Paradise Stop.

A graduate of Oxford University and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Turner's journey in the film industry began in 1988 when she started as a receptionist for Working Title Films in London. She has since held various roles, including being a runner, an assistant editor, and a sound editor.

In addition to her work in the film industry, Turner is also a published author, having written the books Home Is Where You Find It, Heartland, and Southern Cross.

Turner is currently represented by CAA, Synchronicity Management, and Gang Tyre Ramer & Brown.
