Jeremy Dyson, a reclusive member of the esteemed League of Gentlemen, was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, and later attended Leeds University, where he earned a degree in Philosophy. He then pursued an M.A. in scriptwriting at the Northern School of Film and Television.
It was during his time at Leeds University that Jeremy met fellow League of Gentlemen members Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, and Reece Shearsmith. As the quiet and reserved member of the group, Jeremy tends to focus on writing and working behind the camera, occasionally making brief cameo appearances.
In addition to his work with the League of Gentlemen, Jeremy has had a number of books published, including "The Cranes that Build the Cranes", which won the 2010 Edge Hill Award.
In 2010, Jeremy co-wrote and directed the supernatural-themed play "Ghost Stories" with Andy Nyman, which ran for over two years in London's West End and has since been produced in China, Australia, Canada, Russia, and South America.
The following year, Jeremy adapted some of Roald Dahl's best-loved adult short stories into the play "Roald Dahl's Twisted Tales", which was produced by the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith in 2011.
In 2015, Jeremy co-wrote and directed the series "Psychobitches" for Sky Arts, which won the 2015 Rose D'or for best TV Comedy.
