John Wesley Prudhont was born in East Los Angeles, California, and spent his formative years in the Echo Park and Glassell Park communities. He began his acting career at the tender age of nine, taking acting classes at the Glendale Center Theater in Glendale, California. During this time, he had the opportunity to work as an actor in various productions, including "A Christmas Carol," "A Majority of One," "Fiddler on the Roof," and "Oklahoma."
In 1982, he landed his first professional on-camera role as the Letterman in the hit "Kiss" music video for their song "I Love It Loud." This was followed by his first network television role as a Guest-Star in the 3rd episode of the hit TV show "MacGyver" in 1985. Since then, he has performed over 100 live and on-camera roles in TV, films, commercials, voice-over, industrial videos, theater, hosting, and print and runway modeling.
John Prudhont is a highly educated individual, having graduated from the LACC Theatre Academy's two-year conservatory actor training program in Los Angeles, California. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from California State University, Sacramento, in History with a focus in Military History in 1991. He later earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in finance from Louisiana State University in 2022, and began working on completing the coursework necessary to obtain a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in financial management degree from Northcentral University in La Jolla, California in 2022.
In addition to his proficiency in English, he is also fluent in French and Spanish, having performed roles in each language. John Prudhont has also been involved in the financial service industry as a mergers and acquisitions (M&A) business broker in California and Nevada, and a Real Estate Broker in California and Nevada as a principal in The Business Brokers, LLC. in Henderson, Nevada, and The Business Brokers, Inc. in Newport Beach, California since the early 1990s.
In his personal life, John Prudhont has been married to model and actress Eileen Rene Prudhont since 2011, and they have one daughter together, Kiana Monique Prudhont. He also has one daughter, Rene Hilterbrandt, from a previous marriage. John Prudhont took a hiatus from the entertainment industry from late 2018 through June 2022 after being appointed to and then elected to, the office of Nye Country Treasurer in Nye County, Nevada.
