John Thomas Cramer, a multifaceted American actor and writer, currently residing in New York City, has had a journey that spans across various states and professions.
Born and raised in Ohio, John grew up with a strong Midwestern upbringing. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in writing from DePauw University, after which he moved to Portland, Oregon, where he obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in English.
Following his academic pursuits, John relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, where he taught middle and high school students, coached football and wrestling, and developed a passion for teaching.
However, it was during his teaching stint that John discovered his true calling - acting. Every day, he would pretend to be an expert on various subjects, a practice that eventually led him to study acting with renowned coaches such as Bob Krakower, Terry Schreiber, Niki Flacks, Carol Fox Prescott, Gary Austin, and the Upright Citizens Brigade.
John's acting career has since flourished, with appearances in various TV shows, including House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, The Leftovers, Law and Order SVU, and Blue Bloods. He has also made notable appearances in film and web series, including a series regular role in He's With Me, which earned him two Independent Series Award nominations for best supporting actor in a comedy.
