Johnny Cuthbert was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, where he began his acting journey at an early age with the Ottawa Little Theatre. His first film appearance was in "The Perils Of Priscilla" at the tender age of twelve, playing the role of Handsome Harry. He then relocated to Montreal to pursue his passion for acting at the prestigious Concordia University Theatre Department.
Upon graduating, Mr. Cuthbert co-founded a professional theatre company with renowned playwright Vittorio Rossi. He went on to become the Artistic Director of Montreal's esteemed Back Alley Players theatre company, which garnered numerous accolades at Quebec theatre festivals. During this period, he started working professionally in film and television, appearing in CBC productions such as "All the Years" and films like "Dead Man Out" (1989) alongside Danny Glover.
The 1990s saw Mr. Cuthbert relocate to Vancouver, British Columbia, where he continued to hone his craft. Over the past quarter-century, he has amassed an impressive portfolio of over sixty films and television shows, including notable appearances in "The X-Files" (1993),"Supernatural" (2005),and "Continuum". His extensive work experience spans multiple cities, including Vancouver, Toronto, and Los Angeles.
Today, Mr. Cuthbert resides in Vancouver with his wife, the talented actress Kaaren de Zilva.
