Bertót's educational background began at Hialeah High School, where he laid the foundation for his future pursuits. He then furthered his studies at Miami Dade Community College, being awarded a full musical theatre scholarship. This opportunity allowed him to hone his craft and develop his passion for the performing arts. However, his desire to pursue acting full-time led him to leave college and dedicate himself to his craft. Over the course of more than 20 years, Bertót worked with numerous theaters in Florida, gradually transitioning into film, television, puppetry, and voiceover work.
As his career continued to evolve, Bertót made the decision to relocate to Los Angeles in 2001. This move proved to be a pivotal moment in his life, as he was cast as a regular member of the award-winning Nickelodeon series "Taina." During his 12-year tenure in Los Angeles, Bertót had the privilege of working with a diverse range of directors and actors, including Paul Haggis, Tommy Lee Jones, Matthew Perry, James Caan, and the Duplass brothers on the HBO series "Togetherness."
In his current hometown of Portland, Oregon, Bertót continues to work in the entertainment industry. He has recently appeared in the recurring role of Detective Pogue on NBC's "Grimm." Additionally, he has several upcoming projects, including the feature film "Green Room," which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and stars Patrick Stewart. Another notable project is the comedy "Brother in Laws," featuring Taran Killam and produced by Lorne Michaels.
