Josh Casaubon, a native of Brunswick, Maine, spent his formative years in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, laying the groundwork for a life of adventure and creative expression.
After completing his education at the University of Maine, Casaubon embarked on a four-year stint in the United States Army, serving as an infantryman stationed in Hawaii. During his time in the military, he received numerous awards and was handpicked for the Special Forces, but instead, he chose to pursue a career in writing.
Upon his honorable discharge, Casaubon relocated to New York City in the summer of 2001, where he enrolled at New School University. It was during this period that he became deeply immersed in the vibrant cultures of the West Village, frequenting small theaters, sneaking into "Inside the Actors Studio" sessions on 12th Street, and engaging in lively conversations with local bohemians until the wee hours of the morning.
This exposure sparked a passion for acting within Casaubon, and he has since gone on to perform in dozens of television shows, plays, and films. Despite his success in the entertainment industry, he continues to nurture his writing skills, often spending a significant amount of his free time honing his craft.
