Joshua Rivera, a native of Queens and the Bronx, had his passion for acting ignited at the tender age of eight when he became a member of the esteemed "The Variety Boys and Girls Club of Queens".
As he grew and refined his craft, Rivera went on to graduate from the prestigious "Talent Unlimited High School" and "The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute" in 2015, where he was the first recipient of the esteemed Johnny Depp Scholarship.
Throughout his career, Rivera has garnered numerous accolades, including being a two-time winner of the "First Run Film Festivals" Actor Award in 2010 and 2014.
One of his most notable roles was as Rico in the critically acclaimed SXSW Grand Jury Award Winner "Gimme the Loot" by Adam Leon, as well as in the award-winning film "STOP" by Reinaldo Marcus Green, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2015.
In addition to his work on the big screen, Rivera can also be seen on the small screen, starring as Alejandro in the TBS television series "The Last OG".
When not pursuing his acting career, Rivera is actively involved in giving back to his community, supporting causes that benefit children and helping to raise funds and awareness for various foundations.
In his free time, Rivera also enjoys writing and performing rap music with his peers, and has even opened for renowned rappers Redman & EPMD at "The Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival" in 2013 as part of his rap duo, K.O.P. (Kings of The Planet),alongside Billy Conahan.
