Born on September 07, 1985, in Ft. Benning, Georgia, Justin grew up in a family of five children, with an older brother and three sisters. His father, a U.S. ARMY Special Forces SNCO, and mother, a Registered Nurse, instilled in him a sense of discipline and a love for physical exercise and reading.
Tragedy struck when Justin lost his father in combat in 1997, and he was buried in Arlington National Cemetery. This event had a profound impact on Justin's life, shaping his perspective and motivating him to pursue his passions.
Justin's interest in acting began when he visited his extended family in Los Angeles, where he landed lead roles in two commercials and a film. He subsequently moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to attend college and study engineering, but eventually realized that acting was his true calling.
Justin's big break came when he was cast as the leading male in Zac Brown Band's music video, "Goodbye in Her Eyes," directed by Wayne Isham. This led to his role as Jeffery Lockwood Hamilton in the CW drama, "The Vampire Diaries."
His performance as a werewolf descendant in "The Vampire Diaries" caught the attention of director Allison Anders, who immediately cast him as Sam in the film "Ring of Fire" (2013),the June Carter Cash Story.
