Kevin Gerard Quinn was born on May 21, 1997, in Chicago, Illinois, to parents Brian Quinn, an advertising executive, and Tamara Quinn, founder of Pulling Down the Moon, Inc., a holistic healthcare center.
Kevin's early life was marked by a passion for baseball, playing house league baseball throughout his childhood. However, in 2013, he turned his attention to the performing arts, auditioning for season 12 of American Idol and becoming one of the youngest contestants to make it as a Hollywood Group Round finalist.
This experience was followed by Kevin landing the role of Johnny in Steppenwolf Theater's production of Lord of the Flies under the direction of Halena Kays, and then he appeared in classical work at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, playing Boy in Henry V under the direction of Christopher Luscombe.
Kevin's performances in Henry V received critical acclaim, with Chris Jones from the Chicago Tribune praising his crystal-clear delivery, and Hedy Weiss from the Sun Times noting that he "touches the heart as the Boy needlessly slain in war."
Kevin has also appeared in two episodic TV shows, Showtime's Shameless and NBC/Universal's Chicago PD, as well as in the DePaul University film "Screens" and the independent film Kids and Ghosts, which is set to premiere on Halloween.
In addition to his acting work, Kevin has extensive experience in singing and choral performance, having been a member of two capstone choirs at New Trier High School and the Midwest Young Artists "VX-Voice Ensemble." He is also a proud alum of the renowned Children's Theater of Winnetka, where he performed in Good News and My Fair Lady alongside other notable alumni.
When not acting or singing, Kevin enjoys playing frisbee with his twin sister and volunteering at Enriching Lives through Service Club, where he works with special needs and autistic children.
