Kevin Ryan first gained international recognition through his starring role on BBC America's Copper, a show created by renowned individuals including Oscar-winning director Barry Levinson, Emmy-winning writer Tom Fontana, and Academy Award-nominated writer Will Rokos. This show proved to be a massive success, becoming BBC America's highest-rated series premiere of all time.
In addition to his work on Copper, Kevin has also appeared in other notable projects, including the History Channel's hit mini-series Sons of Liberty and the NBC series Crossbones, which starred the acclaimed actor John Malkovich and was created by the talented Neil Cross. His other notable roles include playing the series regular character "Patrick Ryan" on Freeform's Guilt, portraying the complex and temperamental character "Colin Kilgannon" on NBC's hit TV series The Blacklist, and appearing in ABC's Once Upon a Time.
In Ireland, Kevin has recently starred in The Southwesterlies and is currently featured in the series Harry Wild, opposite the esteemed actress Jane Seymour. Both shows are produced by RTE and Acorn TV, with Harry Wild premiering internationally on April 4th on Acorn TV and receiving widespread critical acclaim and a loyal following, leading to a season two pickup that is currently in production in Ireland.
Kevin has also ventured into the world of film, starring in the historical drama Lost Nation, where he portrayed the significant historical figure Ethan Allen, directed by the accomplished filmmaker Jay Craven.
In addition to his successful career as an actor, Kevin has recently made the transition into writing and directing. His short film, Bad Suns, received significant critical acclaim, including 27 festival awards. He is also set to make his feature directing debut with the film Our Land Upon the Hill, which he also wrote.
