Kimee Balmilero, a talented Filipino American and Hawaii-born actor, has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. Born in Hawaii, Kimee has had a diverse range of roles, including her recurring character as Medical Examiner Dr. Noelani Cunha on CBS's Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum P.I.
In addition to her work on television, Kimee has also appeared in various other projects, such as the Disney+ series Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., the Hallmark Channel's Two Tickets to Paradise, and the children's musical TV series Hi-5. She has also been part of the original Broadway cast of 'Mamma Mia' and the second National Touring Company of 'Miss Saigon'.
Kimee has also had extensive training in improv and sketch comedy, studying at the Uprights Citizens Brigade Theatre in Hollywood and performing with the ongoing show Filipino AF whenever she is back in Los Angeles.
Since returning to her hometown of Hawaii in 2012, Kimee has been dedicated to promoting comedy in the state. She founded and is the "Head Sillypino" of Improv Hawaii, a company that specializes in sketch and improv comedy.
Kimee has also been involved in various other projects, including creating and producing the Hawaii Comedy Festival, which has been held annually at the Honolulu Museum of Art's Doris Duke Theater since 2015. The festival has also launched a junior version and premiered the original show Polynesian AF, a comedy variety show featuring Hawaii-based Polynesian creatives.
In addition to her work in comedy, Kimee has also been involved in theater production. She produced and directed 'The Last Five Years,' the premiere production of her Honolulu-based theater company, Stage Fish, in May 2018.
Kimee and her husband, John LeBlanc, also opened Tiny Stage Hawaii, a small but mighty creative space located in Kakaako, in March 2020.
In her free time, Kimee enjoys a variety of activities, including karaoke, garage sale-ing, eating diner spaghetti, and pretending to be a contestant on Top Chef. She also loves to stare at her husband's face and dream about sinigang.
