Lachlan Watson is an American actor, born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. They were homeschooled from preschool through high school graduation, allowing them to develop a strong foundation in the arts from an early age.
Lachlan began their acting career in local Raleigh theater companies, working alongside their family in community theater productions. Their first professional theater production was at the age of 10, playing the role of Jeffery Skilling's daughter in "Burning Coal Theatre". Since then, they have been involved in nearly every aspect of theater production, including acting, costumes, makeup design, and more.
Their passion for Shakespeare is evident, with over six professional and community theater productions under their belt. Lachlan has also honed their physical skills, learning trapeze, silks, and other aerial skills, as well as participating in historical reenactments throughout the region. They are currently working on producing their own professional production of "The Tempest".
Early in their career, Lachlan received numerous acting roles, including an episode of "Drop Dead Diva" in 2009, where they played a transgender boy fighting for the right to use the school's bathroom. The episode, "Identity Crisis", won a GLAAD Media Award in 2015 for Outstanding Individual Episode in a Series without a Regular LGBT character.
Lachlan has also starred in several notable roles, including Theo Putnam, a transgender kid, in the Netflix original series "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" in 2018, and Glen/da in the SyFy USA Network series "Chucky" Season 2.
As one of the youngest self-identified non-binary actors, Lachlan is an outspoken advocate and activist for LGBTQ+ rights and community. In 2018, they were featured on a Netflix-produced talk segment titled "What I Wish You Knew: About Being Non-Binary".
In addition to their acting career, Lachlan is also interested in fashion photography and jewelry design. They have recently attended several fashion shows in Paris as part of Fashion Week, showcasing their passion for the arts and their commitment to pushing boundaries in their creative pursuits.
