Loretta Long, a highly accomplished individual, is renowned for her iconic portrayal of Susan on the beloved children's television program Sesame Street, which debuted in 1969. In addition to her illustrious career in television, Long has also had a distinguished career as an educator, having earned a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) from the prestigious University of Massachusetts.
Prior to joining the original cast of Sesame Street in 1969, Long was a part of another public-television production titled "Soul." Her impressive resume also includes participation in various summer stock productions, including the popular musicals Sweet Charity, Guys and Dolls, and Milk and Honey.
