Lucas Cruikshank, a multifaceted individual with a passion for creative pursuits, initially gained recognition by collaborating with his cousins John and Katie to produce and post videos on YouTube under the moniker JKL Productions. As a talented young director and actor, Lucas eventually decided to venture out on his own, developing the iconic character of Fred, a six-year-old with a distinctive sped-up voice and an uncaring mother.
The inspiration behind Fred stemmed from Lucas's desire to satirize the trend of video bloggers detailing every aspect of their lives in their videos. The first Fred video received an overwhelmingly positive response, prompting Lucas to continue creating content for the series, which he writes, directs, and stars in solo.
When not busy with his video endeavors, Lucas actively pursues acting opportunities in film and television, as well as pitching ideas to networks. In addition to his creative pursuits, Lucas is a skilled dancer, with experience in jazz, tap, and hip-hop.
Lucas resides in Columbus, Nebraska, with his two brothers and five sisters, serving as the middle child in his family.
