Lucas was born in Richmond, Virginia, and spent his childhood in both Richmond and Beaverdam, Virginia. He attended Patrick Henry High School in Ashland, Virginia, and later studied theatre performance at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Acting Career:
Lucas has had a prolific acting career, performing in numerous theatres across the eastern United States. He originated the role of John Smith in Theatre IV's first tour of The True Story of Pocahontas the musical and portrayed Wilbur Wright in The Wright Stuff while on tour with Theatre IV. He was also the Co-Grand Marshal for The City of Hampton's 2003 Holly Days parade in honor of the 100 year anniversary of the Wright Brothers' first flight.
Lucas has worked with various theatres in Virginia, including Richmond Shakespeare, Swift Creek Mill Theatre, Mystery Dinner Playhouse, The School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community (SPARC),the Concert Ballet of Virginia, Sycamore Rouge, and Virginia Patriots. He has portrayed a wide range of characters, including Ezra Carter, Joe Carter, and Dr. John Brinkley in the central Virginia premiere of Keep on the Sunny Side, Chris O'Connell in the Richmond premiere of Jewtopia, and Mr. Sipe in the world premiere of Scorched Earth.
Lucas has also performed regularly in Liberty or Death at Historic St. John's Church in Richmond, portraying several founding fathers, including President Peyton Randolph, Thomas Nelson, Richard Henry Lee, John Tazewell, Benjamin Harrison, and Robert Carter Nicholas.
Film & Television:
Lucas has worked on various film and television projects, including HBO's John Adams mini-series, Sherman's March on The History Channel, Watch on the Rhine, Liberty or Death on PBS, The Feeding on the Sci-Fi Channel, and National Geographic Explorer's Nazi Mystery: Twins from Brazil, among others.
Personal Life:
Lucas has been married to actress/singer Stacie Rearden Hall since 2009. The two met while touring with Virginia Repertory Theatre (formerly Theatre IV).
